Design and processing technology that makes only the action areas of special tools made of hard materials.

We propose the design of the joint (bonding surface) between the carbide part and the base material, and we will accommodate the production of special carbide brazed tools.

Typically, super hard materials are selected when wear resistance is required. However, considering cost and difficulty in processing, there are many drawbacks to manufacturing solid products made entirely of super hard materials. In such cases, super hard brazing, where only the active parts are made of super hard material, can be an effective solution. However, when making only the active parts super hard, careful consideration must be given to the design of the joint surface with the base material; otherwise, the functionality of the crucial super hard part may decrease, and in some cases, it could lead to tool failure. Therefore, it is necessary to design the joint section and to process the super hard material into an appropriate shape accordingly. Design and processing technology for ultra-hard shapes and brazing positions to reduce shock resistance.

We will support the design and manufacturing of optimal carbide shape processing and brazing positions to reduce shock resistance and enhance tool performance.

In tools where carbide is used at the tip for wear-resistant applications, there are cases where impact can act as a resistance, leading to a decrease in the tool's effectiveness. To fully utilize the tool's performance, it is necessary to consider optimal shape design to reduce the overall impact resistance of the tool, as well as the brazing position of the carbide part that will be subjected to stress. In cases where the tool is welded to the machine body, if the welding position is too close to the brazing position, there is a risk of tool defects due to a decrease in brazing strength caused by the heat during welding. In other words, the shape of the carbide part and the brazing position become crucial points. For more details, please refer to the "Processing Technology Special Feature."
